Ned Knight has been part of Ä¢¹½´«Ã½’s Environmental Studies program since 1992. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees in zoology and fisheries, and a master’s in fisheries from Oregon State University, followed by a Ph.D. in ecology from the University of California, Davis.

Before joining Ä¢¹½´«Ã½, Knight taught introductory biology labs at Reed College, where he covered a wide range of topics from 1986 to 2021. At Ä¢¹½´«Ã½, he has developed and taught courses in environmental science, climate change, shoreline ecology and aquatic chemistry. He also teaches online courses in water and energy resources through Ä¢¹½´«Ã½’s Online and Continuing Education program.
